DeWayne Woods set a high standard when he made his debut on the gospel scene with the 2007 hit "Let Go."

He was deemed as the "next big thing" among his gospel peers, collecting three Stellar Awards and one Dove Award.

Now, Woods is back with his sophomore album , "My Life's Lyric," and he doesn't disappoint. He shows versatility as a vocalist, completely switching gears from upbeat spirit-filled tracks like "Living On The Top" and "Good Times" to soul-touching ballads such as "It Might Be Hope" and "I Won't Be Afraid."

One of the best tracks is the smooth, jazzy "God Can" featuring singer-producer P.J. Morton, who wrote the 2007 hit "Let Go." Woods and Morton also teamed up on "What Kind of Love" and "Lost," the easygoing Caribbean-influenced track.

CHECK THIS TRACK OUT: On "It Might Be Hope," the only track produced by Woods, he pours his heart out about maintaining strong faith regardless how bad life's circumstances can become.
